How hard is it to change jobs if you are over 50?

I think it all depends on the person - what you have managed to accomplish in your career thus far and (I hate to say it) how well you've aged.

For instance, there is a lady who just got hired on at my workplace making over $300k a year, but she was very well established in the industry and had a very diversified background. Also very well groomed and atheltic.

On the other hand, a friend of mine's mother is looking to switch jobs. She has a lot of experience and knowledge in her field, but she hasn't aged very well. Years of chain smoking, tooth problems, and tanning beds. She's been on tons of interviews without a response yet.

So I guess it all depends on the person, and possibly what type of field you want a job in.How hard is it to change jobs if you are over 50?

We have many people over 50 who come to us to open their own franchise as a way to change careers or to start something new after retirement. Check out our website and see if this appeals to you www.linkstaffing.com or go to www.franchise.org and find a franchise that suits you. Good luck!
