How to get over the anxiety of changing jobs?

I've been at my current place of employment now for 6.5 years. For this entire time, the company had always paid for our health insurance in full. Now, starting August 1st, I will have to pay 20% of the insurance costs, which will cost me $210 a month. I can't afford this pay reduction, so I'm forced to start looking for a new job. I have on job in mind, which I know I'll make more money and that has me excited, but I'm still anxious about the whole changing job idea. Any suggestions? Thanks. How to get over the anxiety of changing jobs?
Especially if your heart feels heading the right direction - YES, move on for new exciting experience : )

This, of course, comes with excitment and anxiety - this surge of energy. It is understandable the surge of energy is at a higher level as you've been more than half a decade at this familiar place. Changing means new adaptation and expecting unknown - which no matter how you reduce the level of uncertainty by findnig out as much as possible, there is still stuff that we are unable to forsee.

May be instead of wanting to ';get over';, why not ';channel'; the energy! The anxiety can be channel to positive direction - feeling excitedly alive, looking forward towards new learning and acquiring new skills, knowing more new people, and you've spelled out - better monetary prospect $$

Channel the energy. Once you've weighed your pros and cons and assure of your direction. Focus on the immediate matters, be happily excited, reduce the worry tension!

ALL THE BEST in your new endeavor!!! : DHow to get over the anxiety of changing jobs?
Have confidence in your self and your abilty. Rise to the occasion. Ask lots of questions and make sure that you receive all the proper training. You should do fine! Be excited about taking a step up.
Just think about for a long time....

You are going to be in a new place...--Not so fun

You are going to make more money and your health will be much safer there...-----VERY GOOD
Take the psychological approach.... start making other changes in your life. It's the idea of change that's the most scary. So.. start making other changes first. Go to the hairdresser, get a new hairstyle. Go buy a couple of pieces of new clothes (nothing too expensive...just something new that looks good on you and makes you feel good to wear). Maybe something new in your apartment (again, it's not the price tag...just something that will brighten things up a bit and make you feel good to come home to). Now with these few changes, the idea of starting a new job won't be so scary, you might even look forward to it. Think of August as your ';starting a new chapter'; month.

Good luck and keep us posted!
