MEPS contract isn't valid until i swear in the second time when i ship out so how do i change jobs or branch?

do i have to go through a recruiter or can i do it on my ownMEPS contract isn't valid until i swear in the second time when i ship out so how do i change jobs or branch?
Well actually that statement is only true for active duty.

For the Reserve or National Guard, you are enlisted after the first swearing in, whether you have wentto Basic or not.

You would have to go thru the recruiter.

You cannot just change branch's

You would have to request to be released from DEP and then wait until you are released from DEP before approaching another branch.

Thaty can take from a month to a maximum of a year to be released.

Yopu can request to change jobs, but they don't have to change it.

Your only option then, is to request a DEP release.MEPS contract isn't valid until i swear in the second time when i ship out so how do i change jobs or branch?
No disrespect to the chief here, but I disagree with what he said. To perform your best in the military, you need to make sure that you are making the right decisions. You should put a lot of thought into the branch you choose, the mos you choose, and be sure that the military lifestyle is right for you. So before you go changing branches, stop for a few weeks and think about your decision. Make sure that it is what you want. I believe that if someone is going to be a great Soldier, Sailor, Airman, or Marine, they have to WANT it. So make sure that you do. Best of luck to you, and congratulations on making a great life choice, by joining the US Military.
You would have to do so with your recruiter or possibly you can at MEPS. Based on your ASVAB scores, will give you a list of jobs. The contract is not valid until you actually ship out. I also know several people who have re classed during AIT.
How do you think you can do this on your own is beyond me. You should speak with your recruiter to help you. Or a different branch recruiter would be more than willing to help you switchto their branch of service.
Just follow through on your contract and quit whining.
