Im changing jobs shortly and i was talking to two long-timers-they'd worked in the same company for 12 years. How do people do that? wouldn't you be insanely bored? Dont you just want a change of environment every now and again?Is it weird to wish to change jobs often?
Some companies are large enough that you can change jobs frequently but still work for the same employer. For example, the U.S. government - where I worked for 20 years - allows you to move around pretty much at will from one job to another, but continue to earn the same pay.
Some folks truly enjoy what they are doing and have no desire to do anything different.
Some just don't need or expect a lot of variety in their life - or they get it outside of work.Is it weird to wish to change jobs often?
no but most dont if theres a choice....$$ is why they do it

The longest I have stayed on one job was 18 months.
I get bored with the situations and politics at jobs.
